*EXCLUSION OF FREE SHIPPING ON SOME ITEMS:
Due to the significant increase in shipping costs and vendor pricing, free shipping is not available for some items at this time. These products require specialized handling and incur additional shipping fees. Shipping rates for these items will be calculated at checkout based on their weight, dimensions and destination and you will be given multiple options for best pricing.
These items include but may not be limited to the following:
- Gourmet food items
- Heavy-weight products
- Fragile or oversized items
- Accessories
- Cast Iron
- Electronics
SHIPPING FOR ONLINE ORDERS
- On all orders, please allow 1-3 days for order processing and 3-5 days in transit. You will be given the option of USPS, UPS, or Best Rate at checkout.
- Please choose the option that works best for you. Once selected this cannot be changed.
- UPS CANNOT be shipped to PO Boxes.
- We ship using the most cost-effective of these when the customer chooses the free shipping option.
- If you need your order in a hurry, we suggest you choose expedited services.
- We do not mark up the cost of shipping. The rate you see is the actual cost to ship.
- APO boxes and U.S. Armed Forces located outside the contiguous United States are not eligible for free shipping.
- Canadian addresses are not eligible for free shipping and are responsible for import duties and taxes.
- Goods imported into Canada must be for personal use and are not intended for sale or for any commercial, industrial, occupational, institutional or similar use.
- Currently, we do not ship internationally.
ORDER ONLINE AND PICK UP IN STORE
Picking up instead of shipping helps us keep prices lower. Additionally, we have tons of additional items in-store that are not available on the website.
In-store pickup is available Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays.
- During checkout, choose Free In-Store Pickup - Please allow 24 hours for fulfillment though usually ready with 1-2 hours.
- Place your order and wait to receive a "Ready for pickup" email. (This is a separate email from your order confirmation.) Make sure your email address is correct or you will not get the notification.
- Be ready to verify your identity at the store to pick up your items.
- We'll hold your items at the store for 14 days. If your order has not been picked up within 14 days, we shall consider it abandoned.
- After 14 days the right to a refund has been forfeited and the products shall be disposed of. You may email orders@salty-savory-sweet.com should extenuating circumstances prevent your order from being picked up.
- Orders utilizing free in-store pick-up cannot be changed to any other method of fulfillment once placed.
OUT OF STOCK ITEMS:
If an item is out of stock, we will contact you and give you a delivery estimation or offer a substitution. If neither is available a refund or store credit will be issued.
FREE SHIPPING OFFERS:
From time to time, we may offer free shipping as a promotion. Certain restrictions may apply. Please keep in mind that ordering spices and teas in bags rather than jars reduces the overall weight and dimensions of your package and will save on shipping and possible damage.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
All international shipments may be randomly chosen for inspection. The recipients of international shipments may be subject to import taxes, fees, and customs duties (hereafter, Import Fees), levied by the customs office of your shipping destination. Import Fees vary according to the customs regulations of the destination country. Potential charges for a customs clearance must be fulfilled by the recipient. Customs policies vary widely, and some countries don't charge Import Fees for shipments that fall below a minimum value. Contact the customs office of the destination country for more information.
SHIPPING CHARGES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
If you were shipped the incorrect item a replacement item will be sent out at no additional charge to you.
ITEMS MAY ONLY BE SHIPPED TO A SINGLE ADDRESS PER ORDER.
If shipping to multiple addresses' an order for each address will need to be completed. Multiple order totals to multiple addresses may not be combined for any free shipping offers.
DAMAGES:
The address that we ship to as requested by the purchaser is considered the "end-user". We are not responsible for items damaged by reshipment by the customer of record ("end-user") as we cannot verify proper shipping and packing methods were used. As the "end-user" you have 3 days to notify us of by email of any damaged items.
- Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
- Keep all packaging materials and documentation, including the shipping label and packing slip, as these may be required for the claims process.
- Take clear photos of the damaged package and its contents within 3 days.
- Contact our customer service team immediately to report the damage and initiate the claims process at orders@salty-savory-sweet.com
- Provide detailed information about the damage, including the extent of the damage and any visible signs of mishandling and the photographs.
- Our customer service team will guide you through the next steps, which may include filing a claim with the shipping carrier or providing additional information.
- We will work diligently to resolve the issue and ensure that you receive a replacement or refund for the damaged items as quickly as possible.
- Please note that filing claims for damaged packages should be done promptly to ensure a timely resolution.
LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS:
- Your local postal driver, at his/her discretion, may choose to leave the package at the door or on your porch, in your mailbox or other location based on their knowledge of your delivery address.
- We are not responsible for packages that are damaged, lost, or stolen after the driver confirms the delivery of the package.
- Our policy is that you are responsible for filing a claim with the carrier for a refund, but we will be happy to assist you with this.
- We suggest that you contact your local post office or speak directly with your letter carrier before filing a claim as the issue can often be resolved locally.
- With the rise in porch piracy across the country we encourage you to ship items to a secure location such as your office or local post office or purchase package insurance to cover any potential losses.
